My Story
I first came to the Oaxacan Coast in 1998 and completely fell in love with it. I was just beginning to study Anthropology so it was until 2002 when I started doing fieldwork in the area and I ended up doing my thesis with a small ethnic group called the Tacuates in the mixtec coastal area.

In 2007 I ended up moving to a small coastal town called Jamiltec and was involved in an Applied Anthropology project for a year and then decided to open a Non Profit Organization with some local friends. I did this until 2011 when I moved to Puerto Escondido, stopped working as an anthropologist for a while and opend a Hostel. It was at that time that I started thinking about this project. I really had a desire to share the knowledge I had of the region with visitors and noticed that there was nobody offering this kind of service in the area.

Many different activities and years later, Costa Chica Tours is born. In this project I was able to combine two of my passions helping local communities while sharing my knowledge on the region, thus providing the best service you can possibly have!
